Division: Investment Promotion
The Division Investment Promotion is consisting of two sub-divisions, namely, Sub-Division External Investment Promotion and Sub-Division investment Promotion Office
- Primary Function:
- Develop and implement an investment marketing strategy for Namibia.
- Strategies:

- Promote Namibia as an investment location
- Design and develop marketing tools
- Analyse investment proposals, projects and opportunities in order to effect investor targeting
- Manage external investment promotion offices (Commercial Offices)
- Represents Namibia at trade exhibitions and investment forums
- Organise and manage outward investment missions
Sub-Division External Investment Promotion (Commercial Offices)
Functions:
- Establish and maintain regular platforms/forums for dialogue with foreign business executives to promote Namibia as an investment destination
- Generate a mailing list of companies and entities involved in targeted sectors and major companies/players in FDI and create contact with such
- Establish a working relationship with international IPAs, Chambers of Commerce, Investment Banks and others involved in FDI promotion
- Attend major business events and meet with business executives in order to familiarize with local business climate and major economic trends
- Advise on and promote inward and outward investment missions based on specifically identified, targeted and profiled sectors.
Sub-Division Investment Promotion (HQ)
Functions:
- Research on specific investment trends by international investors
- Develop strategies for investor targeting and performance evaluation
- Identify potential investors, local, regional and international, to be targeted
- Create investment links with information about outward investment agencies such as other IPAs, Investment Banks and multilateral organizations active in FDI promotion
